Good Story on President of County Court Told by Himself--Delayed by Political Argument
A good story is told by the president of the county court on himself. He was at Matoaka on Monday and became so interested in a political argument that he allowed the Norfolk and Western train to go off and leave him. Casting about for a way to get home he finally had to take a train to Princeton, from which point he had to ride the hack to Ingleside. From Ingleside he came to this city on train No. 3 and from here went on home, arriving there a good many hours after he had expected to arrive. It is really strange what politics will do for some people. The president of the court on account of a political argument had to take a roundabout trip of thirty-fire miles to get to Bramwell when a ten mile railroad trip would have gotten him there if it had not been for some pow wow. In addition to this he had to make the usual explanations at home. He says hereafter he will only talk politics at the depot.
