SOCIAL LIFE AT POCAHONTAS
------
Firemen Going to Convention
The Norfolk and Western has offered a special rate to the firemen who travel in uniforms to the annual meet at Hampton, Va. About fifty of the fire fighters will take advantage of this special rate and attend the convention which meets next week for five days. The rate from Pocahontas to Norfolk and return is $7.25 for the round trip or a little less than two cents per mile.
[Fifty fire fighters from the small town of Pocahontas?]

Change of Schedule
The schedule of trains to Boissevain has been changed and the train now goes up at 10 o'clock a. m. and returning leaves Boissevain at 11 a. m. in time to connect with train No. 2 for the east, which is a great convenience to the people of that place.
