HOBO'S BULLET FATAL

Conductor Albers Killed by Man He Ejected From Train

    Dan Albers formerly of Bluefield, a freight conductor on the Sciota division of the Norfolk and Western, was shot and instantly killed by a hobo yesterday afternoon.  Albers ejected the hobo from a box car on his train when the latter drew a gun and fired one shot.  The bullet entered the right eye and passed entirely through his head.

[Not all hobos fit the romantic notion of harmless ramblers.  Some were highly dangerous.]
