NEW RAILROAD PROJECT

Branch Line From Rich Creek, on Virginian, to Peterstown

    A railroad project is on foot that means a branch line from Rich Creek [Giles County Virginia] on the Virginian Railway, opposite Lurich, to Peterstown, a distance of four miles.  This line follows Rich Creek through a rich section, traversing the Shumate and Charlie Dunn lands.  It will open up a new territory for ties, stave and tan bark timber along Peters valley.  It is being promoted by W. H. Ballard, a wealthy business man of Peterstown.
