Virginian Railway to be Open From Deepwater to Norfolk
Norfolk, Va., Jan. 23--The Virginian Railway Company will next week, should weather conditions not interfere with the prosecution of the work of completing the line, run through freight trains from Deepwater, the western end of the road, and Norfolk, the eastern terminal.
Vice President and General Manager Raymond DuPuyt, who returned yesterday from New York made this announcement yesterday evening and added that while the freight service wall necessarily be somewhat slow until the road bed is shaken down, they expect to be able to handle traffic from the start with fair dispatch and to be able to at least bring down coal enough for their own use by some time next week and also some little general freight which is accumulated up the line.
------
[But, wait for the "rest of the story."]
