Although there's a Wyatt Cutoff, you won't find  Wyatt's
Monument listed on track charts, station books, nor
timetables.  It's a moniker created by Scioto  Divn.
employees that refers to the realignment in "The
Narrows" where the double "S" curve dodges the
stone pillar.  Don't know if the pole line is still  in
place there, but as the right-of-way edged  toward
the Ohio, the poles took a decided list toward
Ashland.  On the eastward main track,   there
was, at times, a 10 MPH slow order. In steam
times, and after, H.C.Wyatt was General Mgr.
