OK, everyone. I'll make my apologies up front to everyone who will
think this post is irrelevant to the history of the Norfolk & Western
or Virginian. I agree, it is. But I'm fascinated by steam power
nevertheless, and I just have to share it with you anyway!  (I haven't
been yelled at for a while, I forget what it's like.)
