PASSENGER TRAIN WRECKED AT CREWE

Norfolk and Western Train Runs Into Open Switch With Fatal Results

FIREMAN KILLED AND ENGINEER FATALLY INJURED

    Richmond, Va., March 22 -- The fast train from Norfolk on the Norfolk and Western ran into an open switch at Crewe shortly before noon today, killing Fireman T. H. Brown and perhaps fatally injuring J. K. Pond, both of Crewe.  A number of other persons were slightly hurt, the train was badly wrecked and traffic delayed for several hours.
