Railroad Making Room for More Tracks at Midway
------
The railroad has marked out the extension limits of Hale Culvert, opposite Midway, and the same is to be built 90 feet father north in order to make room for more trackage and the round-house, etc. When the new Dry Fork line is completed, the freightage from that territory will soon equal that of the Elkhorn line, and Bluefield, of course, is the focus for it all. So, the railroad is making preparation for it. Great is Bluefield!

[The Old Bramwell road passes through the narrow Hale Culvert under the tracks as shown on the attached map, and Midway is said to have that name because it is equidistant from Bluefield, WV and Bluefield, VA (previously Graham, VA). Regarding the mention of a "round-house," I don't know of a roundhouse other than the one in downtown Bluefield, almost two miles east of Hale Culvert.]
