Hmmm. One of the coaches rebuilt for the 1946 Arrow, according to the softcover edition of "N&W Passenger Service 1946-1971" by William Warden.
That one could've been good ol' car "F" that great-granddad rode on the inaugural run. Sure would be nice if one of the real historians (not a pup like me) out there could piece together the inaugural consist from some old photos. None of the photos online or in books I have are much help.
It is a shame that one's gone. I wonder how many more might be left... .
