N&W To Furlough 59 In Locomotive Shop

   Norfolk and Western Railway announced yesterday that it will 
furlough 59 men in the locomotive shop at the close of business Monday.
   The company has furloughed about 587 men since Nov. 25, including 
the 57. The layoffs have been attributed to a decline in business.
