Also, many parts were removed by the scrapyard and "collectors". Could be thousands of pounds or tens of thousands of pounds.

Excellent information, don't get me wrong, but if NS was going to move them they would have to know how much they weighed now. This would be a good starting point but you'd have to subtract the weight of the metal that rusted off and probably add the weight of the rust/plants/sentiment that has accumulated over the years.
