     Work is progressing rapidly on the Marion and Rye Valley railroad.  The track will be laid to the first summit probably this week.  Quite a lot of steel rails are being received almost every day, and we have no doubt that our mid-summer picnic may be held at Sugar Groove. -- Marion Democrat


Groovy baby!  Built a few cars in a barn a few hundred yards from the roadbed of the old M&RV in the Grove a decade ago...
