It was a spring switch. Now, its a hydraulic switch, but still does the same thing.

is home brew for a turnout indicator. The N&W did use a US&S style
indicator (NS-20's I believe), on turnouts in yards and such. Was this
turnout operated via a switch machine, hand throw or spring switch?
