Historians,

Attached is a portion of a topo map showing the locale between Bluestone
Junction and Elkhorn Tunnel.
Therein shows a westerly branch or spur between Coopers and Ruth that
contains a couple switchbacks and ends with a coal mine.
Does anyone have any information as to what industries or types of
industries were on this branch/spur? Did this group of tracks have a name?
There appears to be a couple rows of buildings on the eastern end of the
two outside legs and something odd on the east end of the central one.
What all was going on in this narrow valley?

(See attached file: Grade to Elkhorn.JPG)

Thank you all,
Dave Willis
