"JC Cabin"

I have recently been made aware that the crossing of the CSX track with the NS track in Charlottesville, VA at the existing Amtrak station is referred to as JC Cabin.  How did this name come about and what does the JC stand for?  The excursion coming here from North Carolina on November 3 & 4 sounds like a great opportunity to see and ride on some vintage rolling stock.
