The Watauga Valley Chapter NRHS will be co-sponsering a RARE daytime excursion along part of Norfolk Southern's former Cresent Route between Spencer, NC and Charlottesville, VA., on November 3 & 4, 2007.
   Motive power will be three Amtrak locomotives and the consist will be a 22 car train.  Included in the consist will be coaches, dome cars and lounge cars, The WVC's former Norfolk and Western coach 539 will be in the consist as well.
