TO DELIVER ENGINES
Baldwin Locomotive Works Will Send First Installment
Some time last spring the Norfolk & Western placed an order with the
Baldwin Locomotive Works, of Philadelphia, for 100 engines to be delivered
between Sept. 1 and Jan. 1. The first installment will be delivered the
middle of this month. The balance of the engines will be delivered in
several installments between now and January.
This addition to the motive power of the Norfolk & Western will greatly
commode transportation. The company are taxing greatly their entire
equipment so great has been the growth of business in the past year or
eighteen months.

These were mostly Class M locomotives, considered to be major power in 1907.
