Locomotive Headlight

Larry, The Engine No. on my headlight is 228. I don't know if it was from an
S1 or S1a Class.I would guess it was anS1a. My N&W book is packed away so
haven't had a chance to find out which. My Dad was an N&W Civil Eng'r at
Portsmouth ,Oh and expect he got the light maybe at the Scrap Yard in East
