CONSTRUCTION WORK IN OLD DOMINION

   It is reported that Vaughan & Co. have been given the grading 
contract for 14
miles of the Potts Creek Valley Railroad from a point above Waiteville to a
point near Paint Bank. The grading contract for five miles above Waiteville has
been let to Contractor Barkley, and three miles more are also under contract to
the State boundary. This is the extension of the Norfolk & Western Railway,
known as the Interior & West Virginia Railroad.
