Richard,
I was surprised to see the credit to the NWHS for the Zoo Choo painting, but I assumed it had occurred before my involvement with the NWHS. By copy of this message, I am calling your correction to the attention of Fred Monroe.
Incidentally, this evening's local news announced that a new Zoo Choo train will be acquired and that the existing train will go to the Virginia Museum of Transportation here in Roanoke.

Gordon,
If you could get in touch with Fred, let him know that the current paint and lettering on the Zoo Choo was provided by Roanoke Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society, not the N&W Historical Society as listed on his web page.
I know because the locomotive body spent considerable time in my garage undergoing bodywork and restoration and the lettering was done thru Fastsigns and applied by Roanoke Chapter volunteers. The entire train was painted at our Ninth Street facility.
Sincerely,
Richard D. Shell
Former President,
Roanoke Chapter, NRHS
