Passenger Service

The last passenger train from Bristol to Roanoke and beyond left around 7 am on April 30, 1971, and the final passenger arrivial deom Roanoke was later that evening when another train arrived in Bristol shortly after midnight.
   
  Trains beyond Bristol had been discontinued a year or more earlier.
