Martinsville Depot

According to Donald Traser's book Virginia Railway Depots, the  Martinsville 
station was destroyed by a fire of suspicious origin on the night  of 
September 9-10 1978 (photo from 1908-1909 is on page 98).  A much later  photo of the 
station appears on page 10 of John Gilbert's Crossties to the  Depot, Volume 
One:  Virginia Railway Stations.
