Wye Near Lofton and Roanoke District Double track

On my first ride on a passenger train on the Shenandoah Division, 
Summer 1957, my dad pointed out the double track segment to me.  When 
we made the trip again in Fall of 1958 the second track was gone.  At 
that time the rail and ties were gone, but the ballast remained.
