Interesting pictures, particularly the third one down. I believe this is
the first time that I have see double derails at one location -- a switch
point derail to protect against eastward movements and a sliding, or hinged,
block derail (appears to be sliding block) to protect against westward
movements. There are double throw block derails that will derail in either
direction, but the combination of derail types in this picture is
interesting.
