N&W Locomotive roster 1954?

This may not be much help, but in Nov 1954 Trains mag
there was a major article called Faith in Steam.  On
pg.24, as part of the article, is a roster of all
locomotives in operation, by road number, as of
4/1/54.

Where would one find a roster of all active
locomotives in the N&W system for, say, fall of 1954,
which is essentially the time period I am modelling?
