Frank was also called out about 1990 when the 1218 was having some
spring problems, and he and another gentleman rode a high rail
alongside the 1218 east of Roanoke to see if they could figure out what
the problem was. To my knowledge, they were unable to determine the
problem that caused the spring seat to keep working its way out other
than a misalignment.
