I do not have the Arrow with the article about the oil-burners. I have only this information given me by Frank Miller, who was in the Motive Power Dept. There were four K1's converted to burn oil instead of coal. Here are the engine numbers and the date converted:
106 12/4/44
107 12/5/44
108 12/11/44
114 12/9/44
No dates given to reconvert, but he said they were soon after the end of the coal strike.

Subject: Oil burning K-1.
I came across a reference on the back of an old photo about a K-1 locomotive being converted to burn oil. The locomotive was No. 107 and the note stated that it is one of two that were converted. Can anyone shed some light on this?
Thanks,
Chuck Stewart.
