Don't know how much help this is, but the Hatch Branch appeared in
Dr. Blackstock's  1928 edition of the Open &  Prepay.   It diverged from
the main line between Lithia (known as Mollie on the Shenandoah Valley)  and
Looney's, which was apparently a station near Looney's Creek, on the
Roanoke-side of Buchanan.  System maps from the 1890's also show
an ore branch that connected at Nace.
