What happened to Va&T RR engine # 7?

There is an image in the VT archives of Va & T RR engine #7
which is dated Nov 1, 1952.  The image can be found at

The image was taken in what is obviously Roanoke, near the passenger
station, with the N&W headquarters building in the background.
Does anyone know what happened to this engine?  Did it get scrapped
or is it still around somewhere?
