The PRR had a web of tracks across Northern Ohio and two mainlines, the
upper Ft. Wayne-Chicago route and the "Pan Handle" route that crossed
east-west. These were two/three track mainlines that had numerous
passenger trains and manifest trains running on each per day. There
were ample opportunities for photographs on either line.

The Sandusky line was a "branch" that ran a right angles to both and
had, of course, heavy coal traffic but no where near the traffic of the
two mainlines.

North of Columbus, Ohio there have been many photographs taken of PRR
trains with N&W hoppers and many movies, particularly near the end of
steam when the PRR leased the AT&SF 2-10-4's in the summer of
1957(?)near the end of steam.

There were five major coal piers along the Lake Erie coastline, Hockng
Valley/C&O in Toledo, NYC in Toledo, PRR in Toledo, PRR in Sandusky and
NYC in Lorain. N&W Coal cars could and did run to all of these piers as
some time. In the early 1900's many N&W cars were routed to Toledo on
either the Hocking Valley, which was jointly owned at the time by the
C&O and the NYC or the NYC line from Columbus.
