As I understand it, from previous discussions, media mail as a postage class isn't exactly a priority for the postal service. It may move to your zip code's post office relatively quickly, then sit for days until the letter carrier gets around to delivering it, often on a day when their load's lighter, say, Saturday.

Usually everyone gets their magazines within a week or so of each other, 
but sometimes we have seen as much as 3 or 4 weeks between the first person 
and the last. It can take even longer for our international members. There 
seems to be no pattern as we see members in California receive theirs 
before members in Atlanta from where it is mailed.
