Coal via Potomac Yard

N&W did have coal destined Baltimore.  It was routed to Lamberts  Point, then
dumped into what appeared to be self-propelled barges for the trip up  the
Chesapeake Bay.  Pier 5, before its demise, was the preferred point to  
transfer
this coal.
