N&W 60' Auto Parts cars

Hi John,
My N&W Equipment Guide, dated Jan. 1, 1976 shows these cars in number series 
600407-600415.   They are lumped into a larger number series up to 600452.   
They are listed as built in 1963 and leased from various roads.   In a 
different section of the guide it lists the smaller number series as leased from SP.   
Doesn't list anything more helpful such as when they were leased or what they 
were painted.    Reading Dow's book on N&W coal cars, in earlier times, the 
leasing railroad would repaint the cars into their colors, while more recently 
they don't bother with such "frivolous" things.   This doesn't answer your 
question but maybe it will help you pin down the timeframe that they were around.
