Re: New Moderate Power Steam

My ignorance of the N&W is showing here I guess.  M-1 4-8-0's are mentioned.  
I thought that the M-1's were not well liked by the Norfolk & Western and 
dumped early.  The M class and the M-2 class Twelve-Wheelers on the other hand 
were kept in service almost until the end of steam operations.  Perhaps I have 
gotten that wrong though.  Can someone enlighten me?  Thanks.
