Damascus

Long's we're discussing Damascus, where was the yard of sorts and turntable there? We spent an enjoyable couple days' biking the Creeper Trail last year on the way to the convention. The only reference points I saw there to describe what once was there were the old caboose downtown and that neat steel bridge over the creek just after the hairpin turn; it still had a telltale post in place -- neat. I've seen photos of the old depot and was curious where it sat in relation to today's arrangement, etc. Never did the see the footings to the Creek Junction water tank, though...
