Chronology of the Double Tracking of the Radford Division ?

Ron and Abram - I haven't got them all listed, but when the first report on the CD came out for the year 1897, the following were listed on the Radford Division:

Roanoke to Elliston -               21.84 Miles
Christiansburg to Radford      12.66 Miles

Total                                             34.50 Miles

In other words, the Norfolk and Western Railroad double-tracked that much.

They start muddying the water in the mid-teens; 1911 is the last one that shows it in table form, and it shows the mileage through terminals as follows:

Forest to Walton                                             82.67 Miles
Walton to Radford                                            4.42 Miles
Walton to Ripplemead (Sections)              12.15 Miles
Pearisburg to Vivian (Ex Elkhorn Tunnel)  59.62 Miles

Someone with a timetable in front of him can break out the Radford Main Line Miles easily enough.
