I looked a little further  and found the following info:

      VGN loco diagrams confirmed that the AG's had a syphon, so the 600 SF
firebox heating surface plus 162 SF for a syphon was correct.  They also
indicated that USD #735 also had a syphon.  The remaining four locos
(701-703, 705) had six circulators in the firebox similar to N&W's Y6b.
However, all USD's retained the 24' flues and did not have an extended
combustion chambers.

      A diagram from L. D. Lewis' book  VGN Railway Locomotives (pg 28)
indicates that the BA's also had a syphon, but no separate heating surface
figure is associated with it.
